With financial literacy being a widely under-taught subject, the responsibility of teaching children and young adults about financial basics falls on families. To alleviate some of this pressure, we’ve put together a financial literacy program to help educate and facilitate conversations about money and finance. Meet the Team: Karen Simons
 Yeske Buie is honored to have been invited to join a pilot program sponsored by the CFP Board and iRelaunch called the Financial Planner Re-Entry Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to connect firms in the financial planning profession with experienced professionals seeking to re-enter the workforce after a career break. A cohort of five financial planning firms include Yeske Buie have been meeting throughout the year to share ideas and experiences for hosting a return-to-work intern. At this time, we are very pleased to welcome our first Financial Planning Re-Intern, Karen Simons. Learn more about Karen’s experience and how she approaches financial planning work.

Corrected 1099 Forms
 As we expected, Schwab has released corrections to the original 1099 forms that were released in February. These corrected forms have been posted to the Statements and Reports tab of your Schwab Alliance account. Step-by-step instructions for accessing the online forms can be found here. If you have any trouble at all accessing your forms, please don’t hesitate to give us a call so we can help. It is possible that there will be additional corrections issued throughout the month. Schwab will email you if/when those forms are available. As we’ve said before, we suggest that you meet with your tax preparer as scheduled; do not delay your meeting as you wait to see if there will be corrected forms.
