Cole DeLucas

Financial Planning Intern

Cole DeLucas recently finished his junior year at Virginia Tech and is planning to graduate next May with a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business CFP® Certification Education Track, a CFP Board-Registered program.

At Virginia Tech, Cole is involved in the Financial Planning Association (FPA®) Student Chapter as well as in his Fraternity, Delta Sigma Phi, where he serves as the chapter’s Alumni Relations and Fundraising Chairman. In this free time, Cole is an avid golfer and has a goal in life of playing at least one course in every state in the U.S. (only thirteen down so far)! Cole also enjoys exercising and hiking out west in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, which is one of his favorite places to be in the summer time. Spending time with friends and family is extremely important to him as well, as those are the moments Cole will cherish forever.

Client Focus: As a Financial Planning Intern, Cole works with the rest of the Financial Planning Team to ensure the clients’ financial planning needs are met and to help them achieve the Live Big® goals.

Current Update: Cole has gotten settled into Vienna and is in his 3rd week as an intern and is absolutely loving it! He has been exploring the Tysons, Loudoun, and Fairfax areas and can really see himself living here after graduation. He still looks forward to his trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in July and meeting up with his family. Cole is still trying to find a fun golf course in the D.C. area to play since he is an avid golfer, and has enjoyed his weekends so far with friends in the NoVA area and just exploring everything the area has to offer!

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson
